220,000 spent on consoles for UK lags

Lags in Jail in England and Wales are being supplied with consoles via British taxpayer money. The Prison Service has spent 220,000 on Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Hardware and Software after previously only admitting that they spent 10,000 on such luxuries. After an audit demanded by Jack Straw it showed 13,000 consoles were in circulation in Jails in England and Wales. With a Prison Population of some 83,000 it looks like there are plenty go around.
